Following their 2-0 victory over Evidence in the grand final of CBCS Season 1, Imperial have secured the final slot for StarSeries i-League Season 8.
On their way to the event held in Belek, Turkey, Imperial traversed the regular season of CBCS, where they were able to break into top four after a posting a 11-1-2 record. The squad then went on to face Reapers in the semi-finals, advancing to the culmination match after a flawless 2-0 performance against their compatriots.

The final barrier Imperial faced on their way to qualification were Evidence. The concluding series kicked off on Nuke, where Dener "KHTEX" Barchfield and company demonstrated a very convincing performance, recovering from early momentum fluctuations on the offense to take a 10-5 lead. The CT side was a breeze for Victor "iDk" Torraca's new team, who cruised to a first map victory after six consecutive rounds were converted.
Imperial kept their momentum from the previous map and put in an outstanding offensive display on Vertigo, taking 13 rounds into the second half as their persistence on the A ramp yielded fruits time and time again. Evidence answered in kind after switching sides, but their last-ditch comeback effort was in vain as Imperial put the series to rest in the 24th round.
